BioLife expands, reopens in Marquette

The BioLife Plasma Services center in Marquette has expanded, renovated and is now open again at 175 Hawley Street.

The company, which collects human plasma that is processed into a variety of life-saving therapeutics, will be having a re-opening celebration April 28 at 9:30 a.m.

"BioLife is proud to be the only plasma donation center located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We appreciate the continued support of our loyal donors who have donated at our center during our renovation," says Barry Oosterhouse, center manager. "We now offer a more  modern facility, which can accommodate more donors. Marquette County is such a giving community, and our BioLife team is very proud to grow here."

The renovated facility has an expanded donor floor with natural lighting that now holds 50 beds for those looking to provide plasma in exchange for some funds. The center has free WiFi, Saturday appointments and free supervised playroom for children to stay during their parent's donation time.

The facility is now accepting new and return donors.
