Northwoods Dog Lodge set to open this spring in Marquette

The old Northwoods Supper Club in Marquette has seen some various plans come and go as to what it would become after the restaurant closed its doors in 2006.

Since then, there have been plans for a new restaurant, and turning it into condos and… well, the list goes on. None of them really took off.

That is, until now. The once-popular supper club has gone to the dogs, quite literally. The location will be opening this spring as the Northwoods Dog Lodge, and it will be an upscale location for dog daycare, boarding, grooming and training.

The new business is owned by Steve and Wendy Beach.

Dogs must go through an interview processes, be spayed or neutered, but up to date on vaccinations and be friendly with other dogs, among other requirements.
