Moviegoers in Marquette County will be thrilled to hear that there is a new theater likely heading to the area.
Thomas Theatre Group, which owns and operates
Willow Creek in Escanaba and Tri-City in Quinnesec, is expecting an upcoming ground-breaking ceremony in Marquette Township later this month. The theater, which is expected to be open in May, will feature 10 screens and the first stadium seating of any theater in the Upper Peninsula.
The new theater will be built on Commerce Drive, behind the Westwood Mall near the Cedarville Townhomes.
