Ojibwa Express gas station holds grand opening

Drivers through Marquette in recent months have no doubt noticed a new gas station on U.S. 41.

The Ojibwa Express Convenience store officially celebrated its grand opening with the Lake Superior Community Partnership at a ribbon cutting.

The gas station and convenience store is located by Menards on U.S. 41 West in Marquette and is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

From what we've seen so far, it definitely offers an up-to-the-minute, friendly and conveniently-located place to stop on your way through or about Marquette.

The store is owned by Aanikoosing, Inc., a corporation of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.
