Landmark Inn unveils new Piedmont restaurant

The new restaurant located in the Landmark Inn is now open.

Formerly Capers, the new name is the Piedmont, located off the historic hotel's lobby, and not to be confused with the Northland Pub on the Front Street side.

The Piedmont was recently home to a grand opening in conjunction with the Lake Superior Community Partnership, showcasing its new menus. The Piedmont is open for breakfast through dinner hours, featuring flavors of Italy's northwest region, from which it gets its new name, of course. Rustic and hearty are the words being used.

The dinner menu includes wood-fired pizzas, pasta and a wine list selected with Everyday Wines in Marquette. Breakfast is a little more traditional American fare, with bacon eggs, granola, pancakes, and skillets offered up, but with some European-influenced options like a porchetta and egg panini or an order of savory crepes.

The changes to the hotel's restaurant were announced when it was purchased last year by the Graves Hospitality Corporation, as a revamping of the food offerings at the Landmark.
