Soo Brewing Company is already spearheading the cause of craft beer in the Sault Ste. Marie area, and now its owner is hoping to expand that mission in a new way.
The goal is to have a new pub open just down the street from the Soo Brewery on Portage Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie. It'll be owned by brewery owner Ray Bauer and offer up lots of things the current brewery can't do, like served food, an array of craft beern and wine, and televisions in the pub.
A patio also is in the plans, one reason the pub is aiming for a summer opening date. The Soo Brewery has been open for several years now and has been constantly refining its offerings--now seems like a good time for expansion.
