NMU has new VP of enrollment and student services

Steven Neiheisel has been appointed the new VP for enrollment and student services for Northern Michigan University.

His duties include supervising the offices of admissions, financial aid, housing and residence life, international programs, counseling and consultation services, the dean of students, the center for student enrichment and the academic and career advisement center.

Neiheisel comes to NMU from the University of Idaho, where he was assistant VP for enrollment management. He also has more than 25 years of management experience at several other educational institutions, including at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

"We are excited to have Steve on board to help develop and implement enrollment management strategies in a challenging climate of declining high school demographics," says NMU President David Haynes. "His extensive background in the field is complemented by his knowledge of tools such as analytics and information systems that can aid our recruitment and retention efforts."
