Ishpeming hotel rebrands with new name and owners

The Country Inn in Ishpeming has rebranded under a new affiliation.

Formerly the Best Western Country Inn, the hotel, located in the Country Village Resort on U.S. 41, now is the Magnuson Hotel Country Inn.

Magnuson Hotels is a global brand with more than 1,000 hotels under its auspices and has been growing recently, also cementing an affiliation with a Houghton hotel, the Magnuson Hotel Franklin Square Inn.

The property, owned by Bradley Argall, has 60 hotel rooms and easy access to local landmarks like the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame and the Michigan Iron Industry Museum. Staffing won't change significantly with the new name, but brand awareness, it's hoped, will.

"We are proud to welcome Bradley Argall and his entire staff, and are fully committed to increasing their visibility and reservations," says Thomas Magnuson, CEO of Magnuson Worldwide of the agreement.
