Rollin' Smoke opens up in Marquette Township

Those looking for a new lunch option in Marquette Township are in luck. Rollin' Smoke Barbecue has opened a drive-through barbecue joint at 3125 Wright Street, right off U.S. 41.

The little building, previously Cruise 'n' Coffee,  is well-suited to the barbecue format, and shouldn't be too hard for owner Tom Curry to deal with, since he's been used to cooking out of a mobile truck for events like fairs throughout the U.P. for a few years now.

Curry smokes his own barbecue, pit-style, and serves up a full menu of barbecue, whether it's one sandwich to go or a family-size pack of meat and side dishes to take home. They even offer up some Southern-style boiled peanuts. The Wright Street location is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., although you also can still find Rollin' Smoke at various area events.
