Jobs Landed: Aspirus Keweenaw adds experienced cardiologist to staff

Aspirus Keweenaw announced recently the addition of cardiologist Mohammad Jan, MD, FACC to its campus. Jan will be practicing at the Apsirus Heart and Vascular Institute.

Before coming to the Upper Peninsula, Jan was involved in private practice in the Ohio cities of Dayton and Springfield where he specialized in cardiology, stress testing, echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.

Patients will be able to see Jan in his primary office at Aspirus Keweenaw, located in Larium, four days a week. He will be traveling to Ontonagon one day a week for patient care. His practice will be supported by nurse Gail Koskiniemi, RN, and receptionist Korynn Kotajarvi at the cardiology clinic office as Aspirus Keweenaw.

Jan is a member of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society of AT Angiography and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and is Vascular certified.

He received his medical degree from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan in 1967. He completed his residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in 1972 and his fellowship in cardiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1973 and at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, Ohio in 1974.
